Join us for a live online Q&A with Casting Director Ben Cogan, who has worked in casting since 2000. He has seen thousands of tapes. The good, the bad and the “why did they choose that angle?” type.
Ben began his career as a Casting Assistant on EastEnders, joining the BBC on the same day the character Kat Slater first appeared. He then went on to cast Doctors for four years, followed by eight years casting Casualty. His experience spans long running soaps and continuing drama, with deep insight into what makes an audition work for these shows.
This session focuses on how to audition for soaps and ongoing drama and how to target your tape to the job in front of you. If you have attended our previous workshops, you already know your tape needs to change depending on the role. This session adds another essential tool to your toolbox. Think of it as tightening the bolts before you hit record.
